Creamy Milk Car

£20.00

A linocut print I made in 2021 as part of a nationwide charity print project called the ‘Thought Press Project’ who were raising money through art sales for ‘Mind Charity’.

Along with a number of other printmakers, I was asked to create a piece based on a childhood memory and so I decided to make a linocut based on the strong, fond one I have of my mum's car when I was a young child in the late 80s/early 90s.

It was an off-white Volvo Amazon 121 Coupe which I named ‘creamy milk car’. It was huge and retro, standing out amongst everyone else’s cars when parked out on the street and when being driven around in it, I always felt like I was really cool.

10 of the 25 prints have now been sold through the ‘Thought Press Project’ with all proceeds going to charity, and it was always part of the plan to sell the remaining prints myself for my own business.

Printed with oil based inks onto Okawara Japanese paper, this print measures at 20 x 25cm and is sold unframed.
