No Smoke
A one layer linocut print I created in response to the Royal Academy summer exhibition 2022 theme ‘Climate’ - a redundant chimney stack and TV aerial juxtaposed with lifeless winter branches. I love the angular shape of chimney aerials and the way they stand out against the sky so this was the perfect opportunity to bring it together with my other loved subjects of architecture, bricks and nature.
This piece measures at 35 x 45cm and has been printed onto Okawara off white Japanese paper into a limited edition of 30 prints. Printed using oil based relief inks, they are sold unframed and will be wrapped in acid free tissue paper and rolled in a sturdy tube.
